metaAIR™ — Premium Laser Protection
metaAIR™ is a premium product that provides vision protection against laser strikes. It is a dielectric (non-metallic) optical metamaterial filter which has been scientifically engineered to provide laser protection. metaAIR™ has been created from polymer materials using nano-patterned designs which are engineered to interact with incoming light, to block and deflecting it. metaAIR™ offers best-in-class transparency and superior angle performance.
In 2014 MTI’s Lamda Guard division signed an agreement with leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus to test its breakthrough innovation designed to deflect unwanted bright light or laser sources from impacting jetliner flight paths and causing pilot disorientation or injury.

metaAIR™ is neutral in color, highly transparent, and can be used at both night or day. It has a high visual light transmittance that allows users to see instruments and surroundings as they would naturally.
metaAIR™ can be produced in sheets or meter-scale rolls. It can be adhesively applied to existing surfaces, or embedded within new surfaces or transparencies of any kind.
metaAIR™ is a lightweight, flexible, and paper-thin optical filter. It can be applied to flat, cylindrical, or spherically-shaped surfaces.
No matter the size of your surface, metaAIR™ can be applied to existing surfaces or new ones.
metaAIR™ can be applied to protective eyewear, glasses, retractable visors, windshields and optical sensors such as Electro-Optical & Infrared sensors, night vision goggles and periscopes.
