Andrew Yick, Ph.D. in Electrophysics
Dr. Andrew Yick brings MTI over 10 years of experience growing international engineering teams, with particular expertise in photonics and high-speed RF devices.
Dr. Yick served in Senior Manager roles at Inphi and Source Photonics, where he led successful NPI engineering teams responsible for design verification, reliability qualification, test automation, manufacturing ramp-up, and sustaining production. He has also held positions at various high-tech leaders, including JDS Uniphase, Newbridge Networks (Alcatel) and GSI Lumonics.
His research expertise is in UV laser microfabrication and electro-optic polymer photonics. Dr. Yick holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Queen’s University, a Ma.Sc. in Photonics from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in Electrophysics from the University of Southern California.
